Aromatherapy: The Science of Scent-Led Calm

Essential oils don't just smell luxurious — they change the way your body feels.

Ghogi Spa ·

Aromatherapy massage pairs massage techniques with fragrant oils, adding a sensory element to time spent relaxing.

The atmosphere, touch and scent combine to create an experience shaped by your preferences. Speak with the spa team about the available oils and choose a fragrance you enjoy.

For a busy week, a dedicated appointment can offer an uninterrupted period of calm away from everyday responsibilities.

The role of fragrance

Aromatherapy Massage combines flowing massage techniques with fragrant oils. The scent adds a sensory dimension to the appointment, which some guests find especially enjoyable in a quiet spa setting.

Fragrance preferences are personal. A scent one person loves may feel too strong to someone else, so discuss available oils with the team rather than choosing solely from a general description.

Choosing an oil comfortably

Let the spa team know about allergies, sensitive skin or sensitivity to fragrance before your appointment. Ask about the oils available for the session and mention any ingredients you need to avoid.

The experience is intended for relaxation and wellness. Essential oils should not be treated as a cure for sleep problems, anxiety or another medical condition.

  • Share any skin or fragrance sensitivities
  • Choose an aroma you find pleasant
  • Ask for pressure adjustments during the massage

Making time for a sensory pause

Aromatherapy Massage at Ghogi Spa is offered in 60-minute sessions at ₹3,000 and 90-minute sessions at ₹4,000. Choose Whitefield or HSR Layout according to which branch is convenient for you.

Consider setting aside a small amount of quiet time after your visit. The purpose is not to fit more into your day, but to give yourself an uninterrupted break from it.

Before your appointment

Tell the spa team about your preferred pressure, any allergies and any areas you would like the therapist to avoid. Mention pregnancy, recent surgery, injuries or ongoing health conditions before booking; seek medical advice if you are unsure whether massage is suitable.

Plan a little breathing room around your visit rather than rushing straight into another commitment. During the treatment, let your therapist know if the pressure, temperature or position feels uncomfortable. A relaxing experience should reflect your comfort, not your tolerance for discomfort.
